These are the maximum hailable-vehicle rates published under City of Dallas ordinance. Your driver will tell you the applicable rate before the trip begins, and you'll get a legible receipt at payment — paper or electronic, your call.

Fare terms.

The fine print, in plain words. Definitions used throughout this rate schedule.

Dallas Central Business District

Bounded by Woodall Rodgers Fwy (N), Central Expwy (E), R. L. Thornton Fwy (S), and Stemmons Fwy (W) — plus all points within 1,000 ft of those boundaries.

Dallas Market Center Area

Bounded by Medical District Dr (NW), Harry Hines Blvd (NE), Oak Lawn Ave (SE), and Irving Blvd (SW), plus all points within 1,000 ft.

Extra Passengers

Total passengers in the vehicle, less one. Charged regardless of whether the riders share a destination.

Traffic Delay Time

Meter-determined time while the vehicle is stopped, or moves slower than 11.5 mph due to traffic.

Waiting Time

Charged only when the passenger asks the vehicle to wait and be held exclusively for their party.

Shared Trip · Same Route

Passengers traveling between the same points are treated as one trip. Only the extra-passenger charge applies.

Different Destinations

Meter resets at each stop, unless one party engages the vehicle and pays the entire fare.

Tolls

Reimbursed only when the driver gave advance notice of the toll route and the passenger did not object.

Flat-Rate Fares

Flat-rate fares are all-inclusive of charges in this schedule — except the extra-passenger fee.
